Executive Summary
Novoblade™ is a high-density, low-power, ultra–low TCO data centre substrate built for sovereign data lakes and AI data extraction. It provides the foundation for modular, energy-efficient, and scalable deployments that maintain full control over data sovereignty and performance.
Designed with adaptability at its core, Novoblade’s architecture allows seamless pivots into Edge, Telco, and SMB form factors without compromising density, efficiency, or sovereignty. Each Novodisq product shares the same DNA, being compact, sustainable, and compliant with data governance standards. Together, they create a unified ecosystem that can scale from exabyte-level data centres to pole-mounted wireless nodes.
Novodisq’s mission is to deliver sovereign data infrastructure that performs consistently across every environment and enables organisations to deploy, process, and secure data from the core to the edge.
Strategic Context
The global rise of data sovereignty is reshaping how information is stored and processed. Cloud providers, MSPs, ISPs, telcos, and government agencies are under pressure to maintain full control of their data while ensuring compliance with evolving standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIS2.
At the same time, the demand for AI-ready, low-footprint infrastructure continues to grow. Power and cooling limits, latency requirements, and security risks have created the need for smaller, more efficient, and sovereignty-compliant systems that operate seamlessly across distributed environments.
Novodisq is uniquely positioned to meet this challenge. By unifying compute, networking, and storage within adaptive, modular architectures, Novodisq becomes the backbone of sovereign data infrastructure ranging from hyperscale data centres to remote edge locations.
Novoblade™ Architecture
Novoblade™ was designed to scale down without scaling back.
Every Novoblade module combines dense flash storage, FPGA-based compute acceleration, and AI/ML processing within a 2U, high-efficiency chassis. Each blade delivers up to 576 TB per module, with 20 modules per chassis reaching 11.52 PB.
Power consumption remains extremely low, achieving up to 95% energy savings compared to traditional HDD arrays.
Key architectural principles include:
- Prioritising maximum capacity and compute per rack unit.
- Hardware optimised for minimal consumption under continuous workloads.
- Integration with Novofabric™ modules that support Ethernet, InfiniBand, and CXL 3.1 interconnects for long-term extensibility.
- Firmware and hardware layers tailored for different SKUs while preserving core functionality.
This architecture ensures that every Novodisq product, regardless of size or application, shares the same foundational performance, power, and sovereignty metrics.

Use Case Scenarios
Edge AI Inference
Novopod is suited for real-time analytics in remote or rugged environments. Designed with an IP66-rated enclosure, it brings AI compute, FPGA processing, and secure storage directly to towers, rooftops, and maritime locations.
Telco Caching & Coordination
Novolink is ideal for sovereign data routing, CDN caching, and low-latency coordination across carrier networks. Its 1U, shallow-depth chassis integrates FPGA offload and 100 GbE connectivity, optimised for colocation cabinets and city-scale deployments.
SME Sovereign Vault
Novostack can be used as a plug-and-play sovereign data appliance for small and medium enterprises. Designed for platforms such as Nextcloud, Mailcow, or Collabora, it consolidates NAS, router, and AI NVR capabilities in a single low-power unit.
Homelab & Development
Novoforge can be used as a full-access development kit for sysadmins, engineers, and researchers. It serves as an enterprise-grade sandbox to build, test, and simulate sovereign infrastructure before deployment.
Across every SKU, Novodisq preserves the same architectural DNA—adaptive SoCs, FPGA acceleration, secure storage, and modular power systems—tailored to the scale and environment of deployment.
Conclusion
Novodisq delivers a single architecture that scales from blade to blueprint. From the data centre to the pole, every Novodisq system provides the same guarantees: high density, low power, and ultra–low total cost of ownership.
This consistency ensures that sovereign data can be stored, processed, and protected at every level. Each deployment retains full control of its data, independent of external cloud vendors or foreign jurisdictions. This delivers true digital autonomy, enabling organisations to meet compliance, latency, and sustainability requirements while preserving full ownership of their infrastructure.
Novodisq invites partners, MSPs, and infrastructure providers to co-author the next chapter of sovereign data infrastructure, building adaptive, sustainable systems that define digital autonomy for the next decade.
